Conceived by Moda Operandi’s co-founder, Lauren Santo Domingo, the collaboration between Moda Operandi’s home line, Moda Domus and watercolor artist, Riley Sheehey, is something better than we could have ever dreamt up.
Sheehey, whose work we fell in love with this past year, is “inspired by old things- vintage floral wallpaper, antique botanical prints, and block print textiles,” which explains exactly why we adore her work.
The collection “channels the charm of southern summers, and is rooted in Virginia-based watercolor artist Riley Sheehey’s hand-painted florals, inspired by old block-printed textiles, hand-painted Spanish and Portuguese antiques, and William Morris botanicals. Find them on scallop-edged and shell-shaped plates alongside table linens embroidered in Morocco and glasses and more plates hand-painted by Italian artisans.”
Each piece is better than the next and has us yearning for the opportunity to set a spring table as soon as we can. At the tip top of our list? The taper candles, painted murano flute glasses and the painted dinner plates.
